Tofu Chilla


Green gram dal 200g

Salt to taste

Cumin seed 1 tsp

Green chilies to taste

Onion 1

Tomatoes 2

Soy refined oil for shallow frying




  1. Wash and soak the dal for an hour. Drain water completely and grind the dal into the thick batter of pouring consistency. Add salt cumin seed and mix well.
  2. Grate tofu. Finely chop green chilies, onion and tomatoes. Mix the tofu with green chilies, onion tomatoes and salt. Keep aside.
  3. Heat pan, spread 1/3 cup of batter and make a pancake 4-5 inches in diameter. Spread about 2tbsp tofu mixture on the pan cake. Allow the chilla to turn golden brown and roll the pancake. Serve hot with green chutney.
